My First Vest Pattern

This is a very easy, side to side, garter stitch pattern to fit all sizes.  Great project for the beginner knitter or for the person who has never made a sweater.  Leslye's clear directions will guide you to success.  Using Leslye's patterns is always an education in sweater making.

MATERIALS:  Iro has 132 yards per skein

4 skeins of Noro Iro for sizes 36 (38,40)

5 skeins of Noro Iro for sizes 42 (44, 46, 48)

6 skeins of Noro Iro for sizes 50 (52, 54, 55, 56, 58)

Size 11 U.S. knitting needles

FINISHED SIZES:

To fit 36”, 38”, 40”, 42”, 44”, 46”, 48”, 50”, 52”, 54”, 56”, 58” width

24.5” length (length may be adjusted as needed-see below)

GAUGE:  If this yarn is not available, use any other yarn that gives you the same gauge.
